I killed, her.

I killed, her.

I want YOU to focus on just one thing — “The oppression faced by women in our unbalanced civil societies”.

Unfortunately, we may talk about LOVE ( ah! ) or how to become successful et cetera, but we never talk about being equal to women. Its no more hunky-dory!

When men are oppressed it’s a tragedy, but when women are oppressed it’s a tradition! When do we move out of this Feudalistic system?

We should become equal from the inside and outside; Present day world, women are exploited to face multiple issues from “Objectification”, to access of Education, Employment opportunities, Reproductive health and rights, Maternal health, Gender-based violence, Child marriage, Water and sanitation issues, and most important — “Gender equality” and have been suppressed in a way to kill their soul.

Yes, I have purposely used the word KILL. We certainly should not take negativity with words, as their etymology might be different and certainly “Death” per say, is an absolute reality of a mortal life.

Nor, we should relate with how Slavoj Zizek describes love for a women after making aggressive and bad taste remark(s), towards her. Though certainly, Zizek understands, that love doesn’t have a reason!

De facto in developing countries, women are expected to have a MALE child and face tremendous pressure from their families. I cannot understand, how to go against the law of nature!!!! The loyalty of men is a completely different issue, altogether and study show(s) that women are more loyal and enlightened in relationships when compared with men. Instead, they play a pivotal and tenacious role to create a harmonized society.

Talking respectively about the Indian culture, as any developing country; the women in our society have to justify small things like working to improve themselves or going out with male friends and so on, which the male bastard doesn’t even care!!

Culturally, even the balanced Muslim society does not give equal respect to women. I find these as completely stereotyped and bigotry, beliefs.

Looking holistically, women have faced oppression throughout the world. Flirting, drinking or outfit of women are “blamed” for the disgustful justification to rape. We must increase the diaspora of our vision and she deserves ascension.

They are faced with myriad forms of violence like; Sexual assault, Domestic violence, Female infanticide, Dowry and bride burning, The disparity in education, Child marriages, Inadequate nutrition, Equal pay, Property rights and the list goes on.. Personally, I feel that women should learn to say NO, and the other(s) must understand that she means it!

In the present day connected and open world, women still need to be cautious of their body. How cocky, have we really become?

Rape is not just a crime, but an outcome of our own cultural and political ignorance! While a woman needs to care about her bra strap being visible, the men can openly masturbate. When do we change this unbalanced civil society? THE TIME IS NOW!

I love my city — New Delhi and everything chaotic about this big city makes me smiling, except that Delhi has become the “Rape capital of the world”. No women feel safe to travel in Delhi, forget evening or night, Delhi has become highly unsafe for women irrespective of time.

The aphorism according to my perception lies within the unbalanced personality of Men, Out-dated traditional doctrines, False principles and the Socio-Cultural norms to restrict women and oppressing them to actually kill their inner soul. Lets not counterfeit the TRUTH.

Also capitalism system promotes women oppression and commercializes almost everything in pursuit of profits, as mentioned by Karl Marx and Frederick Engels in the Manifesto of the Communist Party of 1848 as following: “The bourgeoisie has torn away from the family its sentimental veil, and has reduced the family relation to a mere money relation”.

The symbiotic relations between patriarchy and capitalism that are perpetuated through cultural stereotypes, compound and compromise the social status of women in our society.

“… while the state is correctly seen as patriarchal and clearly biased against women, much of the (women’s) movement’s activism is, in fact, addressed to the state and carries a definite, albeit unarticulated expectation that the state will, or should, or must, support women’s rights and equality” (Shaheed 1997).

The most harmful action will be faced by us, as a society and culture to this treatment of unequal rights and I certainly feel that we don’t have enough power to face their wrath. Even if we do, it is ethically incorrect!

We, as men can never experience the pain faced by women every month of PMS or Menstrual cramps, facing blood stains and such natural circumstances, for just being an opposite gender.

Let’s become conscious individual(s) to treat all humans as equal and no more test the tolerance of women. GENDER EQUALITY IS A MUST or else we will keep killing, her. Let’s become aware, liberated and act forward… Being a man and free from antics, I truly support Feminist intelligence, Merit, Valour and Empowerment and have nothing else rather than prudent candor to offer.

By 2030, the gender gap with narrow and 40% women, globally would have completed secondary education which is 8% points more than today, making very less difference between men (48% ) and women. Though we see wage gap’s, to still remain an issue!

Lets move away from stone age to laud her spirit; and as an exegency we must create a new culture with pure aesthetics and prism to understand our environment which sustains peace, human rights and women rights, to invigorate a new tenet to change the rules. When she says “NO” it means NO!

I truly feel, that feminine are the real heroes, the archangel’s, our anima mundi and are blessed by god to not just manufacture life, but create MAGIC all around them. She makes the ethos!

As said by Rumi:

“God is never seen immaterially, and the vision of women in him is the most perfect of all.”

Well worded Zain, I didn't know you could write so beautifully. That being said things are changing but unlike you, there is a vast majority of women as well as men in our generation, who are killing her spirit day in and day out. Let's hope the future generations don't have to face the gender typecasting as we do.

Go,go,go .... the women will safe the world , but only working side by side with the right men . More culture , more education specially from the mother .

Go Zain! We need more men like yourself speaking out for the rights of women in India. Coming from a matriarchal line myself being a professional was expected of me. How to juggles career and family is up to each couple. It is a blessing indeed to have a spouse who is supportive. So Mums in the developing world bring your sons up to have respect and support their future wives. Dads be the role models that encourage your wives to live to their fullest potential and not expect to be the king of your castle.
