WÀTU Digital Lab organise l'édition 2018 de la campagne mondiale Africa Communications Week (ACW) à Dakar du 24 au 26 mai 2018. Il s’agit du premier rassemblement de professionnels de la communication, journalistes, universitaires, chercheurs et leaders d'opinion qui veulent influencer les récits actuels sur l'Afrique. Ce rendez-vous de haut niveau portera sur le thème : « Réinventer la communication pour accélérer la performance économique de l’Afrique : Opportunités et défis à l’ère du numérique ».
Dans sa logique de partage de connaissance et de renforcement de capacité, WÀTU Digital Lab veut sélectionner et former de jeunes volontaires (1) sur la maîtrise des outils digitaux et l’utilisation des réseaux sociaux pour couvrir un événement et (2) sur le reporting de séance dans la recherche de l’innovation. Les candidats retenus pour ces deux catégories assisteront à une journée de formation le mardi 22 mai prochain. Ensuite, ils seront impliqués en tant que reporters social media et rapporteurs de séances pendant la ACW-Dakar (24 au 26 Mai 2018) au siège de Expresso sur la VDN - Sacré coeur 3.

WÀTU Digital Lab is organizing the 2018 edition of Africa Communications Week (ACW) in Dakar from 24 to 26 May 2018.
Africa Communications Week is an annual global campaign targeting and open to all communications professionals with Africa interest/expertise. It's the premier gathering of communication professionals, journalists, academics, researchers and thought leaders looking to impact the current narratives on Africa. This high-level event will focus on the theme: "Reinventing Communication to accelerate Africa's economic performance: Opportunities and Challenges in the Digital Age".
In lign with its objective of sharing knowledge and facilitating youth capacity building opportunities, WÀTU Digital Lab is willing to select and train young volunteers (1) on the mastery of digital tools and the use of social networks to cover an event and (2) on reporting in the search for innovation. Candidates selected for these two categories will attend one day training on Tuesday, May 22. Then, they will be involved as social media reporters and session rapporteurs during the ACW-Dakar (May 24 to 26, 2018) at Expresso's headquarters VDN - Sacrée coeur 3.
