Romans 12:10 calls us to be devoted to each other as a loving family by honoring one another above ourselves.

Therefore, I pledge to honor my community in the following ways:

LEARN

I will commit to become an informed member of our community by: *

Taking advantage of educational opportunities offered on our campus

Educating my friends on what is and is not acceptable behavior

Understanding the negative effects of drug and alcohol abuse, sexual assault, harassment, and bullying

IDENTIFY

I will commit to: *

Recognizing that someone who is incapacitated due to drugs or alcohol cannot consent to sexual behavior

Utilizing campus resources for myself or a victim who is struggling with an incident of sexual assault, harassment, or bullying abuse

Embracing the University’s Medical and Alcohol/Drug Amnesty Policy and getting help when someone needs medical attention.

INTERVENE

I will become an active Bystander by: *

Getting help if anyone is abusing drugs or alcohol

Looking after a community member who is being bullied or in a vulnerable situation

Preventing sexual assault or harassment by intervening on behalf of anyone involved

SUPPORT

I will actively support community members by: *

Never blaming the victim

Creating an environment where everyone feels, and is, safe

Helping a victim report (if they wish) an incident of sexual assault, harassment, and bullying
