Description

Do you work in a child development facility in wards 7 or 8? Do you need your Child Development Associate (CDA) credential? Do you need to start your Associate’s degree? Do you have an Associate’s degree but need more early childhood courses?

Join us for the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) Wards 7 and 8 Early Childhood Educator Fair. Let OSSE help you build a path toward your CDA credential, Associate’s degree and a career in early childhood.

Sponsored by OSSE’s Division of Early Learning (DEL), this event will help current child development center teachers, assistant teachers, and home caregivers in wards 7 and 8 learn how to start and complete their CDA credential or Associate’s degree in early childhood education. Join us to learn more about the new staff credential requirements and the resources and supports that are available to assist you. Meet with OSSE staff and our partner organizations who will assist with scholarship information and other planning resources toward your Associate's degree or CDA credential.

You’ll get:

  • Opportunities to talk with representatives from local universities that offer an Associate’s degree program;
  • Scholarship and resource information from organizations that support early childhood staff who are pursing CDA and college degrees; and
  • Guidance from representatives from OSSE who can answer questions about the new minimum education requirements.

Register via Eventbrite or by phone at (202) 478-5903. Please RSVP by Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017 as space is limited.

There is no better time than now to start your CDA credential or AA degree.
