Volunteer to keep the park clean & green! Clean weed, rake, sweep, compost, mulch, and more with us! Bring friends & family.

SPUYTEN DUYVIL SHOREFRONT PARK
Trail Improvement Project 
RSVP REQUIRED.

Pitch in with Natural Areas Conservancy, NYC Parks, and volunteer Trail Maintainers to use logs, stones, and other materials found in the park to repair trails damaged by heavy rains.

Tasks include raking the trails, cutting up fallen trees, hauling materials, stripping bark off logs, digging trenches, and removing invasive ivy & fallen branches. 

Tools & gloves provided. Sturdy shoes, long pants, a hat, water, and snacks recommended. There are no restrooms or water fountains in this park.

Street Tree Native Plant & Pollinator Habitat Project 

Be part of this Community Science research project that tests a variety of native plants to see which can survive urban street tree bed conditions!

We've planted 3 tree beds with 100+ plants of 7 native species selected by the Greenbelt Native Plant Center. 

Join us to learn about each plant & their pollinators, and how to submit your own observations! 
LIABILITY WAIVER & PHOTO CONSENT 
All adult participants are required to agree to Liability Waiver for themselves and any minors with them. The Photo Consent is optional.

MINORS
13 or younger Must be accompanied by an adult during the event. (No drop-offs.)

14–17 years If volunteering with us for the first time this year, you must have a parent or guardian consent to the waiver by being present at check-in, either in person or over video chat from your phone.
