This is your chance to hack the library -- help us design new spaces that work for you! The Libraries want to make the new Hayden a welcoming, inclusive place for the MIT community, where physical spaces contribute to your academic success, wellbeing, creativity, and sense of community. Student input is critical to achieving this goal. Join us for an upcoming workshop, led by Kennedy & Violich Architecture, and tell us how library space can best meet your needs. Dinner will be provided.

March 6 Workshop: Activating Research and Collaboration
Hayden exists in a constellation of libraries at MIT.  The new Hayden will focus on research and learning through collaboration and inclusivity. Some of the questions that this raises are:

  • What kind of activities would attract a large crowd of students to come to Hayden and make it a campus-wide destination?
  • What types of activities and experiences would you bring to the library to make it a prototype library of the future?
  • How can Hayden’s programs and activities inspire and facilitate diversity, equity, and inclusion?
