Our community is turning to Jewish Free Loan in unprecedented numbers to ask for help in confronting overwhelming economic challenges: eviction prevention, housing and utility costs, burial expenses, medical bills, education needs, and more. The amount of requests we are receiving far exceed our available loan dollars.
Since the start of our fiscal year on June 1, 2023 JFL has:
- Responded to hundreds of inquiries from community members
- Received over $1.9 million in requests for financial assistance
- Processed more than 150 applications
- Approved nearly $600,000 in interest-free loans
