Teacher Appreciation Week

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week!

Think of all the teachers that had a tremendous impact on your life – all the hard work they put in every day to teach you and help you grow. Think of some way you can thank a teacher, whether it’s one from your past, or one that is helping your kids now. Tell them how much they matter, and the difference they make.

Most teachers will appreciate any gift given. What they will really appreciate, however, is hearing the impact they have and how important they are to their students. So write them a note or go visit them, and let them know you care about what they do.

Some other things you can do to help throughout the year include volunteering to help in the classroom, like on field trips or cleaning up on occasion. Check and see what supplies they could use as the year goes on. Many times teachers will buy their own special supplies, and they would really love the help there!

It takes a lot of work to be a teacher, and it can be a thankless job. Many hours are put in outside the classroom to ensure the next lesson is planned, papers are graded, and everything else is taken care of. This Teacher Appreciation Week, take a few minutes out of your own day to thank a teacher. Especially with the school year drawing to a close, and kids ready for summer, they could really use all the support they can get!
