CITY OF WILLISTON STATUS

Effective Tuesday, May 11, 2021, the City of Williston approved a resolution ending the COVID-19 Emergency Municipal Declaration first introduced on April 2, 2020.


Declaring a local state of emergency enabled the City of Williston to enact an emergency management plan and to be eligible for State and Federal funds.

Citizens are encouraged to take precautions to mitigate any spread of COVID-19. Those interested in getting vaccinated for COVID-19 can register online for an appointment at a local clinic with the Upper Missouri District Health Unit or can contact their local primary care provider.

TESTING

Expanding testing plays a major role in keeping North Dakota open. In addition to social distancing, mask-wearing and washing your hands frequently, testing is a proven, effective way to combat the spread of COVID-19. Find a list of testing locations here.

BinaxNOW Rapid Antigen Screening Events
The free Monday community BinaxNOW Rapid Antigen screenings offered in partnership with Williams County/Williston Emergency Management and Upper Missouri District Health Unit are being paused at this time due to low participation numbers and other existing testing options.

CITY OF WILLISTON BUILDINGS

Office vestibules and reception areas remain open to the public and masks are encouraged, but not required for entry. Staff meetings are by appointment only. 

PUBLIC MEETINGS

All public meetings will be held in person but a virtual option will be available. Individuals attending in-person are encouraged, but not required, to wear a mask, utilize hand sanitizer upon entry, and practice social distancing from others.

Regular City Commission meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 6pm.
