The Annual Orange County Reading Association (OCRA) Fall Conference will be held virtually on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Our theme this year is “
Creating Authentic Literacy Learning Experiences in Today’s Classroom."
We invite you to share your knowledge with conference attendees! Please note that you will need to create a Zoom link for your session. We will collect this link at a later time.
Please complete this questionnaire to apply for one of the following formats:
(1) Traditional Presentation: Applicants will be asked to share a brief description of their proposed 50-minute presentation topic.
(2) Lightning Talks: 3 Applicants will be asked to share a brief description of their proposed 10-minute presentation (may include sharing effective strategies, lesson, activity or materials) on an authentic learning experience you have done in a TK-12 classroom. The last 20 minutes of the session will be Q and A for any of the 3 presenters.
Please know that, depending on how many presenters we have, you may be asked to join all three session times, which are scheduled as follows: Session I is from 9:00-9:50am, Session II is from 10:00-10:50am, and Session III is from 11:00-11:50am.
We ask that you please submit your proposal/application by October 7th. Once we make our selections, we will contact you via email.
