It was Mom’s wish to have a memorial mass and reception at Holy Rosary Parish in Edmonds, and to have her ashes spread in a garden.

Please join us for any or all of the following events on Thursday, July 6, 2023 in her honor:

• Memorial Mass at Holy Rosary: 10:30 AM
• Reception at Holy Rosary: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
• Gathering at Woodmen Cemetery's Ash Garden on Whidbey Island: 4:00 PM
• Hosted dinner at Arnies in Mukilteo: 7:00 PM - New Time!

Please join us for a lunch reception starting at about 11:30 AM after mass. The church will provide sandwiches, side salads, coffee, tea & punch. No alcohol is allowed. RSVP needed by Monday, June 26, 2023.

Langley Woodmen Cemetery – Ash Garden

Drive all the way into the cemetery and around the loop – take the first left into the Ash Garden

NOTE! If you are using Google Maps to navigate there, type in “Woodmen Cemetery” – do not type in the address because it will send you in the wrong direction on Al Anderson Rd.

This small, well-loved community cemetery is the only local public venue that allows ashes to be interred in a garden setting. It is about a 15-minute drive from the ferry dock. We’ve planted a few dozen gladiola bulbs in the ash garden this winter to prepare a space for Gladys' ashes (but they may not be in bloom yet).

FERRY: Mukilteo-Clinton Ferry Dock: 614 Front St, Mukilteo, WA 98275

TIMES: The ferry runs every half hour until 9:00 PM, then every hour until 1:00 AM. Crossing time is 15 minutes.

COST: Going to Whidbey

• Vehicle & Driver $10.35 PLUS fee for additional passengers:
• Adults (age 19 - 64) $5.80
• Senior (age 65 & over) / Disability $2,90
• Youth (age 18 and under) No Charge

COST: Coming BACK from Whidbey

• Vehicle & Driver $10.35 (no passenger charges)
