Councilmember Pierluigi Oliverio has proposed that the City of San José Department of Transportation implement a trial road diet on Lincoln Ave. in Spring 2015 for the purposes of improving traffic and increasing pedestrian safety.
A working group has been formed to provide feedback to the DOT on the scope and limits of the trial. This committee includes members of the Willow Glen Business and Neighborhood Associations as well as local residents and business/property owners.

The proposal is only for a 60-90 day trial that would take place in the Spring of 2015.
NO IMPACT ON PARKING
This proposed trial would have no impact on current parking options in Downtown Willow Glen.
