We, the undersigned, call on the WSFCS Board of Education to adopt immediate measures to keep its employees, students, and families safe, until such time an effective Covid-19 vaccine is widely available, by:
1. Embracing strict scientific metrics which only open schools, grade levels, or segments thereof, when it is considered low risk by the CDC,
2. Closing schools for in-person instruction and returning to remote learning if and when those same metrics are not met,
3. Issuing, upon student return, adequate PPE to instructors and support personnel, including bus drivers,
4. Providing ONE district-wide plan for screening, cleaning, case notification, quarantining, contact tracing, employee contractual obligations and limitations, and substitute coverage instead of the current site-based solutions, and
5. Maintaining an honest, detailed, accurate, and prompt daily reporting of cases, exposures, quarantines, and casualties on the  WSFCS Covid-19 "dashboard".
